North Carolina High School Rodeo Association


Welcome to NCHSRA website. NCHSRA is a non-profit organization dedicated to the development of sportsmanship, horsemanship and character in the youth of our state. The NC High School Rodeo Association was created to give high school students the opportunity to participate and compete in this unique and challenging sport. Although not recognized by high school athletics, the NCHSRA offers a rodeo program that sets high school rodeo apart from other varsity sports: Athletes compete on a scale comparable to collegiate and professional rodeo competitors. The NCHSRA is an independent student athletic association- governing itself without supervision of school administration or assistance from tax dollars. Members are fully insured, supervised and guided by adult experts. Competitors have opportunity to acquire scholarships and grants for their educational interests.

ATTENTION ALL CONTESTANTS !!!!
 If you have turned out at any rodeo during the year and have not paid your turn out fees, you must pay them before you can compete at the state finals. We had several contestants turn out at the VA Rodeo and they have yet to pay their fees. You must either pay the turn out fees or have a Doctor's or Vet's excuse for missing that Rodeo. If you have a medical excuse for turning out you will also need a medical release from a Doctor/Vet prior to entering the next Rodeo.
