Hi everyone,
I am Lindsey Harper and I am proud to represent North Carolina as Miss NC High School Rodeo 2007-2008. I am a 16 year old junior from Bull Head, NC. My parents are Allan and Renate Harper and I have one brother, Tyler, who is participating in the Wrangler Division of High School Rodeo for his second year. My rodeo events include goat tying, breakaway roping, pole bending, barrel racing, and team roping. In addition to the rodeo, I also enjoy playing softball, watching NASCAR, hanging out with my friends, attending my Church, and driving my truck! I was thrilled to finish 17th overall at the Nationals in the Queen’s Contest held this year in Springfield, Illinois, and to finish in the top 5 in the personality and written test and in the top 10 in the personal interview and impromptu speech. I have enjoyed each year I have participated in the NCHSRA and have watched it grow over the past 3 years that I have been a member. My goal as the 2007-2008 Queen is to raise awareness of the NCHSRA throughout the state and further increase the membership in the NCHSRA by highlighting the scholastic opportunities available as well as showing the FUN and COMRODERY that we as members enjoy.
